Fly numbers track breeding sites closely — muck heaps and livestock housing on farms around Mildenhall and Ely, and food waste or poor drainage on commercial premises, all give house flies exactly the warm, moist conditions they need to breed through in days rather than weeks. Newmarket’s stable yards see the same pattern around muck management.

Fewer breeding sites matters more than more spray, so we assess where a site is actually breeding flies before treating, and fold larger stored-product or food-premises cases into the same fumigation visit we use for other pests.
